Celebrated Hiplife musician and rapper, Obrafour, has been announced as the Cultural Ambassador for Diaspora Property Expo (DPE) 2027 and will perform at the official launch of the Germany 2027 edition on Wednesday, December 9, 2026 at the Estrel Tower in Berlin, Germany.
The launch will be under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Ohene Adjei, Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany.
DPE is a real estate exhibition designed for Africans, especially Ghanaians, in the diaspora to explore property ownership and investment opportunities back home.
The initial editions were held in Philadelphia, United States in March 2025 and Toronto, Canada in May 2025. DPE 2027 will be held in Germany and Canada.
Obrafour is also widely referred to as the Rap Executioner and Rap Sofo. He is well-grounded in Ghanaian idioms and expressions and regarded by many as a genuine carrier of home-grown sensibilities, something the DPE organisers say resonates with their general aim to get Ghanaians in the diaspora to always look back home for property acquisition and investment.
The Berlin launch, themed: ‘Ghana@70: Building Wealth, Building Home’, marks the official kick-off of the road map to the main DPE Germany 2027 Expo, slated for March 19-20, 2027 in Dortmund as the Ghana@70 independence anniversary celebrations in Germany.
Organising and strategic partners for the Berlin launch include Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd, Ghana Embassy Berlin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (ECTIB),the Ministry of Works, Housing & Water Resources, Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) and the Real Estate Agency Council (REAC).
Others are the State Housing Company Ltd, the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority and community partners Trig Entertainment, Dortmund and Eagle Church e.V.
The Executive Producer of Diaspora Property Expo, Mr Verus Nartey, will unveil what’s new for 2027 and announce the first set of verified Ghanaian exhibitors.
There will also be a special message from Ahmed Ibrahim, Ghana’s Minister for Works, Housing & Water Resources.
The highlight of the Berlin launch will be the keynote address by Prof. Ohene Adjei. He will touch on the rationale for DPE Germany, the embassy’s partnership, Ghana@70 and officially launch DPE Germany 2027 with a call to action to the diaspora.
Other activities lined up for the launch include a singing of the Ghana national anthem, traditional music and dance session, premiere of the first official promo video for DPE Germany 2027, group photos, networking and refreshments.
