The DreamChild Foundation has postponed the 2026 edition of its flagship HoodTalk Music Festival to a later date this year.
The festival, which was originally scheduled to take place on September 5, 2026, at the Black Star Square in Accra, will now be held on a new date to be announced.
In a statement released on Wednesday, management of the Foundation said the decision was taken to allow it to merge HoodTalk with another music festival, creating what it described as a bigger and more exciting musical experience while strengthening the platform’s social impact.

The Foundation said further details about the new date and the expanded festival concept would be communicated in due course.
Growing profile
The postponement comes as the DreamChild Foundation seeks to build on HoodTalk’s growing profile as a music and social-impact platform.
The festival was conceived to bring entertainment and advocacy together, using music to mobilise support for initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of children.
The 2026 edition was particularly focused on child healthcare, with the festival positioned as a fundraising platform to support the development of paediatric clinics across five regions of Ghana.
The Foundation has also been using the festival to encourage musicians and other creative industry stakeholders to leverage their influence to address issues affecting children and young people.
Patronage
The planned 2026 festival had attracted significant interest from the entertainment industry, with dancehall artiste Stonebwoy previously pledging his support for the initiative.
Ghanaian twin music duo Lali x Lola were also announced as part of the festival's child-wellness advocacy drive.
Organisers had described HoodTalk as a platform where music, youth engagement and social development converge, with ambitions to grow the festival beyond Ghana and reach African diaspora audiences.
