Ghana's Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) to Honor Accra Mayor

This prestigious recognition is scheduled to take place at this year's GOWA event, set for September 10 at the Accra International Conference Center.
This celebratory gesture is a tribute to her exceptional leadership since assuming the role of Accra's first female Mayor. Having ascended through the ranks over the years through unwavering dedication and hard work, the organizers of this esteemed event deemed it fitting to celebrate the historic achievement of Ghana's inaugural female Mayor of the capital city.
Recently, the CEO of ASKOF Productions Limited, the organizers behind this grand occasion, Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum, along with her team, paid an official visit to the Accra Mayor to extend a formal invitation to the Awards Ceremony.
During the visit, she conveyed the sentiment, "This year marks our sixth anniversary, and there couldn't be a more fitting time to honour our Mayor. The theme for this year, 'Encouraging Women to Take Up Leadership Roles,' played a pivotal role in our decision to select Honorable as our distinguished honoree."
She continued, "You undeniably serve as a tremendous source of inspiration to countless individuals, and we eagerly anticipate celebrating you in the unique GOWA fashion on Sunday, September 10. We eagerly await your presence as our special guest."
The Mayor of Accra expressed her gratitude to the organizers for the honour.
The event promises to captivate attendees, featuring a performance by the eminent female rap sensation, Eno Barony, and ace broadcast journalist Nathaniel Attoh as the master of ceremonies.
