Riohs Originate now Riohs College of Design

In their bid to contribute to the growing fashion and illustration industry, Riohs Originate has rebranded to Riohs College of Design.

“Over the last decade, the institution has existed with the aim of growing talents. Our rebrand is closely aligned with our ultimate goal of becoming the leading institution in fashion and creative design training in Africa,” Founder and Talent Manager of the school, Mr Richard Ohene said at a press briefing in Accra.

He stressed that this new phase will also help people know that fashion is no respecter of qualification.

“In this new phase, we will continue to identify and nurture fresh potential and prove that irrespective of your qualification, you can be creative, sketch and design, create patterns and sew in six months. Offering morning, evening and weekend options, our classes offer practical guidance and transform students into conscious smarter decision makers with an eye on the sustainability of the fashion industry”, Mr Ohene noted.

“Everyone has a touch of creativity hidden inside them, they just need a little Riohs in them to unearth their potential. The world always needs more people who are creating, so consider joining us. We can help you, realise your vision”, he added.

Some of the programmes Riohs College of Design has added on include photography, graphic design, digital fashion, creative thinking, concept development, branding and pattern making.

Mr Ohene also commended Riohs’ alumnus for raising the flag of fashion and creativity high.

“Some of them are pattern makers, sketch and digital illustrators, fashion designers and atelier managers. The likes of Naddia Ibrahim, ZaQi Africa, Elikem the Tailor, Royalty by Nanasie, Gallant Belle, Maud by Dianne, Avonsige, Sera Ban, Cosma gh, Mayase gh, kojo Boadi Ghana, Sara the Dressmaker are taking on the global fashion space, which is commendable.
