UT Bank Boss buys copy of magazine for GH₵20,000

The CEO of UT Bank, Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng on Saturday bought a copy of a fashion and lifestyle magazine for GH₵20,000 in Accra.

The first copy of the magazine was purchased at 100 pounds by an un-named person.

Mr Amoabeng doled out the money for the auctioned copy.

It was the 3rd edition of Classic Magazine, which was launched at the +233 Jazz Bar.

Classic Magazine, is a beauty and lifestyle magazine published by Max Impact Productions.

The launch of the third edition of the magazine was held on the theme, “Celebrating an icon”.

In a statement read on her behalf, the CEO of Max Impact, Ms Renate Dzodzomenyo, said Ghana had everything to make fashion an income generating business for the economy and that classic magazine's goal was to educate, inform, entertain and impact on the life of its readers.

The magazine, which covers a wide range of topics on fashion, beauty, health, entrepreneurship and leadership, also contains exciting interviews with celebrities making waves across the continent.

Ms Dzodzomenyo, said although Classic Magazine was a fashion and lifestyle magazine, there was something in it for everyone.

She said promoting fashion, supporting young entrepreneurs, generating revenue for the fashion industry and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among the youth remained a key purpose of classic magazine.

Mr Williams Ansah, who unveiled the front page cover of the magazine, said Efya deserved to be on the cover page.

For her part, Efya said every successful artiste needs a front page cover and expressed gratitude to Classic Magazine for choosing her to be on the front page.
