Unearthing soccer talents: Five-a-side schools tourney to be held

A five-a-side schools sports competition is to be organised as part of efforts to unearth young soccer talents in the country.

The initiative, which will be for both girls and boys, aims at boosting sports activities in schools.

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Francis Oti-Akenteng, who made this known to the Junior Graphic during the five-aside Omo Fantastic Five Challenge, said the GFA would soon come out with the details of the competition.

He added that there was already a collaboration between the GFA and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to improve sports in schools throughout the country. 

St. Joseph's School embarks on walk

In another development, pupils of the St. Joseph’s Preparatory School at Teshie-Nungua Estates in Accra has embarked on a walk in their new Physical Education kits. 

The event was also used to help the pupils to be fit and put them in the right frame of mind to study.
