Letters: Improve road system to protect lives

Dear Editor, The bad road system in Ghana is causing many fatal accidents. The state of our roads is very bad and unsafe for pedestrians.

All drainage systems are choked, thereby leading to floods during downpours on our roads. The floods have further created a lot of potholes on the roads which make the roads unsafe for road users.

In effect, this leads to low productivity. These bad roads make it difficult to transport goods to different places in the country on time. Workers find it difficult to go to work and schoolchildren also do not feel safe crossing roads to school.

I urge the government to take immediate steps to improve the road system in the country to make Ghana a better place for all.
