Erica, popularly known in showbiz as DJ Switch, has clearly demonstrated that when young people are given the necessary support, resources and tools to develop their talents, they will excel in their chosen fields.

Erica made Ghanaian children and in fact, the country proud when she travelled to the United States where she met some world leaders at this year’s Goalkeepers event in New York and had the opportunity to showcase her skills on the turntable.

She raised the flag of Ghana high at the event and won praises from the leaders she interacted with.

Due to her talent, Erica again had the opportunity to display her skills when the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla) came to Ghana for a four-day visit.

Her performance again, won the hearts of the royal couple when she entertained them and other dignitaries, including the Second Lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia, when they visited Jamestown in Accra on November 3, 2018.

DJ Switch, who has virtually gone international with her talent, needs to be congratulated and encouraged by all.

I hope all children will take inspiration from her hard work and excellence and make good use of our talents.

I hope that many more children will also be offered similar platforms to perform to exhibit the gifts they possess.
