Six schools took part in the competition. The others were the Oti Boateng SHS, the Aburi Girls SHS and the Okuapeman SHS at Akropong-Akuapem.

The festival will be held annually to promote creativity among the youth and bring second cycle institutions which have drama clubs together, among other things.

The acting Eastern Regional Director of the Centre for National Culture, Madam Gloria M. Bramson, said the drama festival would enhance the quality of the participants’ spoken English and help them to express themselves confidently in public.

She thanked Indomie Ghana Limited and Nestle Ghana for sponsoring the programme.
