Ga West Municipal holds Early Childhood games

J’ann Royal School topped the Ga West Early Childhood Games which was held in Amasaman at the Ga West Municipal Community School park.

The games, which was held for the first time for Kindergartens, was to exhibit the physical abilities of the little ones.

The Ga West Municipal Assembly engaged 48 Kindergartens within the municipality which included the Pokuase One and Two Basic School, Adams Preparatory, Firm Foundation, St Stephens School, Hill View International, J’ann Royal School, Reaching High School, Crystal Heights School, Roseland Pre-school, Adusa K.G, Destiny Child Academy, Iridescence International, Mother and Child School, Adusa KG and ROKA International.

The schools competed in soccer, lime and spoon race, sack race, tug of peace and a 100 metres race to entertain the spectators. There were also contests in dancing and singing, cultural display and modelling, which was won by ROKA International School.

The Director of the Early Childhood Development in the Ga West Municipality, Mrs Margaret Okai, said the contest would be held annually in order for the children to determine where their strengths are in sports to help them develop those talents for their future.

The competition was sponsored by NNF Esquire Limited, MUUS Timber Market, Twelluim Ghana, EPP Books, Zoomlion Foundation, HFC Bank, Blue Skies, Latex Foam, Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association, J. Initiative, VIP Transport and Dangote Cement.
