The Headmistress of the Christ Bethel International School at Gbawe in Accra, Mrs Cindy Owusu Tabiri, has called on all JHS graduates to make good use of the time they have now as they await their BECE results.
Speaking at the school's anniversary and Speech and Prize-giving Day, Mrs Tabiri said her school believed in helping all school-age children to acquire an all round and balanced education so as to lay a strong foundation in their education.
She said for this reason, the school was offering students formal training in ICT, French, Spanish, batik tie dye, flower and interior decoration while they await their results.
Mrs Tabiri said engaging BECE graduates in these courses would not make them idle but provide them with requisite skills that would make them all-round scholars in future.
The Registrar of the Ghana Technology University College, Professor Patrick Otoo Bobbie, who chaired the function, said with the technological development worldwide, there was the need for parents, as well as school authorities to give their pupils and students the best training in Information Communications Technology (ICT).
He said adults must monitor the software their children use and provide them with a lot of educative softwares to play and learn with.
