Children six years and above were required to colour a rainbow. The competition received 17 entries.
Four children were shortlisted and a winner was selected.

The other participants were given certificates of participation.

The colouring contest which was held in the library’s premises at Osu in Accra, was organised for children to improve on their creativity and enhance their reading culture.

The Director of e-Ananse libraries, Mr Cephas Larbi, urged children to use the time they were spending at home to come up with creative ideas.

He said “creativity is a key to success”, adding that colouring could offer the perfect platform for children to showcase their talent by being creative.

“Creative people are more flexible and better problem solvers. They are able to adapt to technological advances, deal with change and take advantage of new opportunities,” he explained.

The e-Ananse library provides children with tools, reading materials and computing facilities to improve on their reading skills.
