Discharge your duties well - Ashigbey tells students
The Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group Ltd, Mr Ken Ashigbey, has advised children that the development and growth of Ghana depends on how each of them performs his or her roles and duties as a citizen.

Speaking on the theme, “Everyone counts” to mark this year’s Constitution Week of the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) at the Bortianor Methodist Primary & JHS, he said in nation-building, everyone, irrespective of age, had a role to play.
Mr Ashigbey advised the students that as citizens, they had a duty to protect the country and its Constitution and should, therefore, expose those who engaged in wrong acts.
“As good citizens of Ghana, it is your responsibility to go to school in order to grow to be useful citizens who will take up responsible positions tomorrow,” he reminded them.
Mr Ashigbey encouraged them to respect the elderly in society, the rights of persons with disabilities, be obedient to authority and resist the temptation to engage in any form of criminal acts such as ‘sakawa’.
He charged the students not to allow the influx of tourists to the area to be used to exploit them for monetary gains, warning them “to be careful of pedophiles (adults who are sexually attracted to children) and report such people to the authorities”.
Mr Ashigbey pledged to support the school with 20 free copies of the Junior Graphic each week for three months, starting with this week’s edition.
He expressed the hope that it would encourage the students to develop the habit of reading.
Introducing the children to the week celebration, Ms Vera Offei of the NCCE was hopeful that it would help mould them to be responsible leaders in future.
Mr Ashigbey, who mingled freely with the children, later joined the Headmaster of the school, Mr Adbulai Ali, to plant two seedlings to mark the celebration of the week in the school.
Ms Offei urged the students to ensure that the two seedlings did not wither.
