Speaking at the Graduation and Speech and Prize-Giving Day, the Chairperson for the function, Dr Yaa Diffie Osei, advised the students to make good use of the opportunities that existed in the school.

Dr Osei advised the teaching staff not to label their pupils as “slow learners, repeaters or nerds” (refering to a person as being foolish or annoying) since such descriptions dampened the spirit of children and affected them negatively.

She said teachers should show them love, care and provide good training to all pupils to help them become responsible adults.

“Parents should keep petty quarrels away from their kids and avoid using abusive words on the phone at home,” she added.

The overall best student, Maame Gyenwaa Otchere Duah, told the Junior Graphic: “Taking the Overall Best Student award had not been easy since there were a lot of sharp brains in the class.”
