An inter-school educational competition aimed at encouraging practical learning and stimulating the enthusiasm and love for mathematics among basic school pupils is currently underway in Accra.
Dubbed the Bonanza School Challenge, the event is being organised by the Daffodils Games and Publishing Limited, a Ghanaian owned games development company.
The competition which is being organised in partnership with Radio XYZ and X-Ceed Consult is on the theme: “The importance of educational games and how they develop brain creativity”.
Mission
The mission of the company is to bring together individuals and families, and serve them with a cocktail of fun and educational games that enhance and sharpen their thinking.
Daffodils GP is the first Ghanaian company to be a market leader in the development of board, card and online games, including tailor made games, for organisations and institutions.
Encouraging extra curricula activities and healthy competition among the youth has also become a need for the Daffodils GP team. They have so far organised Intra and Inter fun educative competitions for many basic school students in the Greater Accra Region.
Mathematics is seen by many as difficult and boring or both. But evidence suggests that a love for maths is no barrier to fun and humour.
