Baptist Academy holds Career Day

The Dansoman Baptist Academy has organised the first-ever Career Day for pupils of the school to expose them to the various professions.

The celebration, which was to assist the pupils identify the careers they could pursue in future, made the children excited as they dressed in the clothes of their dream professions.

On that day, professionals representing the various careers were invited to talk to the children.

In an interview with the Junior Graphic, the Headmaster of the school, Mr Ivon Sumana-Ang, said the main aim of the programme was to whip up the children’s interest in the various professions, so that they could aspire to become whatever they wanted to be.

He said through such exposures, the pupils would be motivated and inspired to study hard in order to achieve their goals.

“That is why we invited these professionals so the children can ask them questions and seek advice from them to help them pursue their goals,’’ he added.

Highlighting the preparations for the event, he said most of the clothes were provided by some of the parents and a few supplied by the school.

The headmaster also stated that the response from the students and their parents had so far been good.
