Vanguard gathered that this is as a result of the family’s inability to meet the bail conditions granted the man.

Joe Fortemose Chinakwe was charged to court for naming his pet dog Buhari.

Family sources that spoke with Vanguard on phone, said they were able to raise only N20,000.

The presiding Chief Magistrate, B.J Ojikutu, admitted the trader to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must be regular taxpayers in the state.

A family source said they made passionate appeals to the authorities to accept what they had and release the trader. However, it was not clear if their appeals had been accepted but sources said the authorities were still profiling two of his guarantors as at 3.30pm yesterday.
