Tagoe Sisters, others for MOGO
The Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) annual concert initiated by Citi FM some eight years ago has bloomed into a big-time celebration of everything Ghanaian about popular music.
This year’s event will come off tomorrow, December 6, which also happens to be National Farmers’ Day, at the National Theatre.
Artistes billed for the night are Tagoe Sisters, Awurama Badu, Samuel Owusu, Kwabena Kwabena, Kwaisey Pee, Sherifa Gunu and Kwame Yeboah and his ObY band.
MOGO brings together families, corporate institutions, individuals and lovers of highlife and other styles of Ghanaian music, to celebrate genuine Ghanaian live band music.
Over the years, the MOGO stage has been graced by artistes such as the Osibisa Band, Lee Duodu, Paapa Yankson, Abrantie Amakye Dede, A.B Crentsil, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Ben Brako, Asabea Cropper, Paulina Oduro, Bessa Simons and George Darko.
