Salsa: Accra takes its turn
The salsa heat is on with the Close-Up Freshness Dance Revolution reaching Accra this week after stopovers in Takoradi and Kumasi and selecting contestants for the grand finale. Accra must now decide who the reps will be.

When the salsa train made its stops in Takoradi and Kumasi, the events saw new salsa fusion movements, a mix of salsa and local dances such as azonto and alkaeda. This took place during street storms and club visits where the best dancers were selected to represent the two cities at a grand final to be held in Accra.
Yesterday Wednesday, the first stop for qualifiers in Accra was held at the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel with the Salsa Extra dance club. On Friday DnD Lounge at Osu will host the Uno Salsa dance club and finally on Saturday it will be the turn of T-Havanna at Tema, with the T-Havanna salsa club.
