MUSIGA Grand Ball tomorrow

All is set for this year’s MUSIGA Grand Ball, tomorrow, Friday, November 4 at the State House Banquet Hall. Dubbed Peace Ball to drive home the message for a peaceful and credible elections, the event which has enjoyed high patronage in the past will have in attendance President John Mahama among other dignitaries.

The event is to raise funds for the ageing musicians welfare fund which supports musicians who are 60 years and above and also assist musicians who are bereaved and incapacitated.

Artistes lined up to perform include Wiyaala, Becca, Samini, No Tribe, Obuoba J.A Adofo, Mzbel and Abrantie Amakye Dede.

Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, Bice Osei – Kuffour aka Obour president of the Musicians Union of Ghana(MUSIGA)  said, “This year is the fourth edition and we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure it is another success story,’’

According to him, last year, they raised close to GHc200,000 and the target for this year is GHc300,000.

Last year, personalities like Dr Kwabena Duffour, Ernest Ofori Sarpong of Special Ice and Apostle Kwadwo Safo of Kristo Asafo were awarded and this year Mr Edward Boateng of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Kwasi Twum of the Multimedia Group of companies among others will be awarded.
