Jamrock hosts book reading session

Writers (from left) Nana Awere Damoah, Alba K Sumprim and Kofi Akpabli were in an upbeat mood last Saturday, September 3 at the end of their ‘Ticklin’ Di Sebiticals ‘ book reading session at the Jamrock  Restaurant & Grill, East Legon in Accra.

Messrs Damoah and Akpabli took off with their joint book reading series in 2014 and read in public places to book lovers three times in a year. They bring on guest writers whenever possible.

They read at the Vydia Bookstore at Osu in Accra last July. According to Mr Akpabli who is a columnist of The Mirror, their next reading will be in the Kumaple Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi on September 24.

He hoped students, civil servants, lecturers and general book lovers would turn up “to enjoy the sound of the written word.”
