‘Glitz Fashion Week’ opens today

The Glitz Africa Fashion Week (GAFW) 2013 kicks off tonight at the Accra International Conference Centre and will run till Sunday, November 10 at the same venue.

This year, which marks the second edition of the event, will feature 50 runway shows, insightful seminars, exhibitions, parties with over 70 international models among others.  

Musicians, Jon Germaine, Okyeame Kwame and Gina West have been billed to perform at the event.

Ghanaian designers who will showcase their collections at the fashion week are Joyce Ababio, Chritie Brown, Mina Evans, Aya Morrison, Poqua Poqu, She by Bena, PISTIS, Elikem Kumordzie The Tailor and Ajepomaa.

The rest are N’Kya Designs, House Of Ecentrics, Sa4a, Konfidence, Amèyo, B’venaj, Royal Dennis, MSimps, Ani Siyah, April Rust, Kolture Aparel, Rovon, Chocolate Clothes, Deborah Vanessa, Sarah Christian, Afriqan Apeiron and Kus.

Claudia Lumor, CEO of GAFW has promised a good show during the fashion week and entreats Ghanaians to come out in their numbers for the show.

The Glitz Africa Fashion Week is tailored to provide a platform for Africa’s fashion industry to showcase its talents, network, celebrate each other and expose them to uncharted markets.
