Programme Details

The one-hour programme not only aims at showing how our local dishes are prepared across the country but promote healthy eating.

In an interview with Daily Graphic, Emelia, who is a Made-in-Ghana ambassador said Ghanaians were getting sick because of bad eating habits.

“Today, obesity and other forms of illnesses, which were previously associated with the aged, are rampant among young persons due to the junk food we consume. We need to go back to eating our local foods which kept our grandfathers living above 100 years,” she said.

The format of Ghanaian Kitchen will not be too different from the others; Emelia will bring on personalities who will give viewers insight into their lives while she assists them to prepare their favourite Ghanaian dishes.

The maiden edition of Ghanaian Kitchen features the Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries, Maxwell Kofi Jumah.
