The organisers of the award scheme, Exclusive Men’s Magazine and Carbon AV, in a press release earlier this week announced Thursday, May 25, as the final closing date of entries.
After a successful event last year, the organisers are confident this year’s edition, slated for Saturday, June 24, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, Accra, will be another successful story.
The Exclusive Men of the Year Africa Awards (EMYs) is a scheme aimed at celebrating achievements of men in their various fields of endeavour.
It is also to honour excellence and inspire the younger generation of men to aspire to reach the heights of the astute gentlemen who are honoured through the award scheme.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Mr. Daniel Kojo Soboh, Executive Director of Emy Africa Awards, said this year’s event will be bigger and better.
“We had a successful show last year and we are looking at an improved one this year. Everything is in place for the second edition and we promise an awesome event on the said date,” he said.
Last year, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum of Ndoum Group of Companies won the flagship award, Ultimate Man of the Year and rapper, Sarkodie won Entertainer of the Year award.
Land Rover and Unibank are the sponsors of EMY Africa Awards.
