Concert for late Goethe-Institut official

The Goethe-Institut in Accra will on Thursday, April 21 present a tribute concert in honour of the late Programmes Coordinator of the institute, Rebecca Adamah-Nooni. 

Several music groups, solo musicians and poets including flute dynamo Dela Botri, Oiada International Band (Cape Coast), Good Is Good Borborbor Group (Accra),  singer /composer Delasi Nunana  and Afro Pop star Fatau Keita, are all scheduled to perform at the 7.00p.m. event. 

 

Ehalakasa poets Sir Black, D.K. Osei Yaw, Bakomora and poets from the Oiada International Band will also render works specifically written in honour of the late Adamah-Nooni, who passed away recently following a short illness.

A graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and the University of Ghana (Legon), Adamah-Nooni organised several concerts and performances for artistes from Ghana, Germany and other countries, at the Goethe-Institut.

She also helped to arrange seminars, workshops, book readings and art exhibitions as well as representing the Goethe-Institut in its cultural outreach programmes across the country.
