The project has been dubbed ‘Save Children Living With Cancer’ and it was launched in Accra last weekend.
Among other things, the project will be used to solicit funds for children with cancer through a praise concert.
The show has been scheduled for January 1, 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre. It is being organised by the music department of the church. “The church has decided to financially support children with cancer by raising funds from the concert for their hospital bills,” Apostle S.K. Amoani, Chairman of the church, said at the launch.
According to him, more than 1,000 children below the age of 15 years are affected by cancer yearly in Ghana but only a few are able to meet the cost of treatment.
He said the Bible enjoins the church to cater for the spiritual, social and economic needs of Christians and that was why CAC had made it a point to annually support children in need.
