Titled ‘Dance The Time’, the production is the result of a three-day workshop for contemporary dancers led by Felix Ofosu Dompreh of Kuyum Arts Investigation in Accra.
The aim was to challenge and help expand their artistry through movement exercises as well as to provide participants with innovative tools to support their creative process and augment their skills to create original dance vocabularies.
A dancer, choreographer and researcher, Dompreh, was trained at the Noyam Dance Institute (Ghana) and Ecole des Sable (Senegal) in traditional, contemporary and Afro-jazz dance forms.
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in dance at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany, Dompreh has worked with renowned choreographers and dancers from Africa, Europe, America and Asia.
