Hiplife artiste, Wisa pleaded not guilty to a charge of gross indecent exposure last Wednesday when his case was brought before an Accra Circuit Court.
The presiding judge, Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin Doku, accepted his plea of not guilty and adjourned the case to Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
Wisa, real name Eugene Ashie who was accompanied to the court by his lawyer, Jerry Avenogbor as well as some sympathisers, was subdued in his actions.
Mr Avenogbor in an interview said he was certain that he could prove the innocence of his client based on the events that occured at the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC).
“My client has pleaded not guilty and we will proceed to argue the matter when we open our defence at the next adjourned date,” he said.
The Ekiki Me hitmaker was brought before court on the charge of gross indecent exposure after he exposed his genitals during a stage performance at Citi FM’s Decemba 2 Rememba Concert on Thursday December 24, 2015.
Midway through his performance on stage, the musician while wriggling his waist behind a female dancer drew down his boxer shorts and pulled out his manhood in full glare of the entire auditorium of the AICC.
The incident almost marred the rest of the concert and the organisers had to salvage the situation by issuing a quick apology to patrons.
In a public apology posted on his Facebook page and other social media outlets, Wisa expressed regret at his actions and asked of the forgiveness for the public as well as Citi FM, organisers of the event.

Wisa was invited to the Accra Regional Command for questioning on Christmas Day regarding the incident and his statement was taken after which he was granted a police enquiry bail.
