Vlisco on Tuesday unveiled Regina Honu as of Soronko Solutions, a software development powerhouse and social enterprise, as the new Vlisco Ambassador for Ghana.
Regina was unveiled on International Women’s Day at a press briefing held at the Vlisco Boutique at the Accra Mall as part of activities to kick-start Vlisco Women’s Month 2016.
Regina was chosen because of her powerful story of achieving her dream and finding incredible success in her field as well as her passion for building up and empowering young women to also identify and achieve their own dreams.
Through her work with Soronko, Regina has been able to realize her dream of leveraging technology to drive human potential, developing innovative technology solutions across different channels to help enterprises in Ghana create visibility and grow their business.
She represents Vlisco by daring every woman to choose the path less traveled and to be unafraid of being unique and expressing their individuality.
Join the Vlisco Women’s Month activities
During the month of March, Regina will be sharing her inspirational story via multiple platforms including the media and various speaking engagements including visiting the educational institutions she attended.
Also from March and throughout the year, she will be traveling to five regions in Ghana visiting Universities to engage with women studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
These women will be enrolled in Soronko’s mentorship program where they will develop more practical technology skills all with the aim of inspiring young women and breaking down stereotypes that tell women technology is just for boys!
