Musician Patience Nyarko says fellow gospel singer Joe Mettle is over-hyped by Ghanaians because he does not write most of his songs.
In an interview with Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM, Patience said Joe Mettle named Artiste of the 2017 Year at the Ghana Music Awards is not the best gospel musician in the country.

She said most of Joe Mettle’s English language songs are renditions of old Pentecost and Methodist hymns, adding that he only gets the hype as compared to fellow gospel acts Diana Hamilton, Nacee and Joyce Blessing because he sings in English.
She was defending her stance that Joe Mettle is not the only Ghanaian gospel artiste with international appeal.
Patience Nyarko is best known for her smash-hit 'Obi Nyanime' which features Bro Sammy.
