Too many fake people in entertainment industry – Funny Face

Comedian/actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng popularly known as Funny Face says there are too many fake people in the entertainment industry.

According to him, he came to that realisation when he encountered challenges and went through his trials.

“I confided in some friends in the entertainment industry when I was going through difficulties but they gave me out. As we speak now I don’t have any friends in the industry because they are all fake people,” Funny Face told presenter Ola Michael last Saturday, July 4, on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review.

Funny Face also apologised to Ghanaians for his behaviour and utterances over the last few weeks explaining that a lot had happened in his life.

“I am sorry I overreacted. I said so many things that I shouldn’t have said when I was going through difficulties, I was going through depression.

"Having problems with my wife and not getting access to my children made me go through a lot of things and I reacted in a way I shouldn’t. I am sorry it will never happen again,” he stated.

Talking about lessons he had gleaned from his trying times, Funny Face said he had learnt not to trust friends anymore and also not to love people with all his heart.

“I think one of my problems is that I trust people too much and I become disappointed and hurt when that trust is broken. Thanks to Bola Ray and Emmanuel Adebayor for the advice they gave me. They were very helpful,” he said.

Funny Face has never hidden his preference for curvy women, especially those with big backsides but he told Ola Michael that now his tastes had changed.

“I used to like women with nice figures but all that has changed now. Now an intelligent lady will do for me,” he said.

The comedic actor who also does music has released a new album he calls Animal Kingdom and he said he was promoting a single titled Tramadol because the youth love it.

“The Animal Kingdom album is long overdue. It was actually Castro who introduced me to music and I have recorded different songs over the years. I have sold over 1,000 copies and I want to use the money to build a children’s park,” he disclosed.
