There’s no recipe for hit song —Flowkingstone

IT is amazing how some musicians easily drop hit songs while for others, it probably takes a miracle for it to happen yet rapper Flowkingstone says there is no formula in ‘cooking’ a banger.

This is because sometimes, the song a musician believes strongly would rock hardly makes it even close to the bottom rung on the chart ladder.

“I have released certain songs that I thought would shake very core of Ghanaians but unfortunately, they did not make the impact I expected. My song, Blow My Mind featuring Akwaboah is one I never thought will go far.

“Sometimes, I believe Shatta Wale’s style of releasing many songs at a time is a good trick to make a hit.

With that, you are sure at least one or two songs will be popular out of the many dropped. Moving forward, I think I will adapt that style,” he said

At the moment, Flowkingstone who is known for songs such as Opana, Go Low, Mekyeakyea, Breaking Me Down and Feel Good is out with a new single Dimple after taking a break for close to three years.

On the song, Flowkingstone appreciates his partner saying a feature of hers that drive him crazy is her dimple hence the title of his latest single.

Flowkingstone goes on that no woman brings out the best in him apart from his lover and he was ready to always make her happy.

Although he has not released a new song for some time, Flowkingstone revealed that he has been playing lots of shows.

“Since last and now, I have been on a number of shows and I want to say a big thank you to all the event organisers who believe in my talent and put me on their gigs,” he said.
