Sparqlyn enstooled as Norya Matse
A former member of the music group Dunsin , Ahmmed Kanneh Larweh also known as Sparqlyn has been enstooled as a subchief by the chiefs and elders of Krobo Odumase.
He will now be known as Nene Kanneh Larweh I, with the chieftaincy title Noryam Matse, that is, the Chief of Development for Konor-Odjam Weku in the Manye Krobo traditional area.

The enstoolment was done last week by Nene Sipim Osomtse Narh II, who is the Sipim of the Manye Krobo Traditional Area, with a lot of family members, close friends, associates in the industry, and the town folks in attendance.
Sparqlyn has the responsibility of ensuring community development as the new Nene Kanneh Larweh I of the traditional area by collaborating closely with other local chiefs and opinion leaders.
He is also to ensure the youth of the community are empowered to take their education seriously and work hard to make something better out of their lives.
Even though he has been made a sub-chief, the chiefs and elders of the community said he has the liberty to work as a musician and try as much as possible to project the Krobo language with his songs
After his enstoolment, Sparqlyn expressed his profound gratitude to the chiefs, elders and the people of Manya Krobo. He thanked them for their continuous support and ensured the people of Krobo Odumase boundless developmental projects. “Oklibone” he said in wishing them a Happy New Year.
In an acceptance speech, Sparqlyn declared her preparedness to serve his people and work tirelessly to bring a facelift to the community and get it to a very befitting status.
Before this enstoolment, Sparqlyn has been known to be one of the most talented musicians in Ghana with a music career which spans for over two decades.
The Dunsin group which was made up of Ernest Obeng (Omega), Ernest Wiafe Koranteng (Swiitlyps), and himself was formed in 2003, however, they started recording professionally in 2005 and eventually got their first smash hit ‘Oyeadieyie’.
