Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck, has alleged that some artistes resort to spiritual practices in their quest for hit songs.
Speaking on an episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, Odumodublvck said scoring a hit song was difficult, noting that some artistes never manage to achieve one throughout their careers.
He praised Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for consistently releasing hit songs over the years.
“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.
“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years.
“You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he said.
Born in Lagos and raised in Abuja, Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter known for blending hip-hop, drill, grime and Afrobeats.
