Gombilla, a young and upcoming poet, will headline this year’s Sobolo + Chicken Show with Gombilla scheduled for the Efua Sutherland Drama Studio, University of Ghana, Legon tomorrow, March 4.
The event will also see performances from comedian, Khemical, Chief Moomen, Oswald Okaitey and Ahenkye, the musician.
In a chat with Showbiz on Monday, Gombilla said, “The objective of the show is to educate, entertain, inspire, motivate and inform people especially students through poetry”.
He said that though poetry will be the main affair on the day, the event has been organised in such a way to appeal to its young audience, hence, the addition of comedy and music as well.
“I’m very optimistic that this will be the most captivating poetry event that has ever hit the University of Ghana. The event team is doing a good job to put together the show in a way that has not been seen in poetry performances in Ghana,” Gombilla added
