Sarah Ayim, a model, emerged the winner of the maiden edition of ETV’s reality show dubbed, “Live Inside and Win the Ride’ last Saturday.
Ms Ayim, 23, who showed resilience and faced the inconvenience of being confined to a car for 40 days drove home a brand new Renault Logan saloon car.
The obviously excited winner told Showbiz, “The contest was not easy. Initially, it was very boring. Just imagine being in a car for that long with total strangers but I knew I needed the car for my modelling job. Wow, I can’t believe I made it.”
The “Live Inside and Win the Ride” is a combination of Survivor and Big Brother built into one amazing reality campaign.
The competition started with five contestants including Abdul Malik Jibriel, Setor Jinadu, Sarah Ayim, Ernestina Fiah and 61 year old Victor Komla and latter was the first to be evicted just three hours after the launch.
Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Global Media Alliance broadcast company (GMABC), Kwame Gyan, stated that the show was part of the company’s innovative ways of redefining reality shows on the continent.
“GMABC as an entertainment oriented company has plans to bring more entertainment event to our audience this year and the “Live inside and win the ride” competition happens to be one of them. This reality show is meant to bring out the adaptive nature of our contestants,” he noted.
The first ever to be introduced in Ghana, the reality show, according to the organisers, was set to blow the minds of the general public and be a game-changer when it comes to reality shows in Ghana.
