Rapperholic 2026 heads back to Kumasi

Kumasi is set to once again host rapper Sarkodie’s flagship Rapperholic concert when the event returns to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 24.

The rapper announced the date with a message aimed directly at his Kumasi fans, promising another big night of music, culture and entertainment in the Ashanti Regional capital.

“KUMASI, THIS IS YOUR OWN”.

 “On October 24, Baba Yara won’t just be a stadium… IT’LL BE THE CENTER OF GHANA”, he posted on Facebook.

The 2026 edition, dubbed Rapperholic XXIV, is expected to feature music, food and culture as Sarkodie returns to the venue following the success of last year’s edition.

The list of artistes billed to perform at this year’s concert is yet to be announced by organisers.


Last year’s Kumasi edition marked a significant expansion of the Rapperholic brand, which for years had been a major fixture on Accra’s December entertainment calendar.

Thousands of fans turned up at the Baba Yara Stadium for the 2025 homecoming, braving heavy rains to witness performances from Sarkodie and a number of top Ghanaian artistes, including Shatta Wale, Obrafour, Efya, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal and Kweku Smoke.

The 2025 concert was particularly memorable for the appearance of Sarkodie’s mentor, rapper Obrafour, as well as the much-anticipated moment when Shatta Wale joined Sarkodie on stage.

The strong response to the Kumasi show appears to have strengthened Sarkodie’s commitment to return the capitalcity. 

Rapperholic, which takes its name from Sarkodie’s 2012 album, has grown over the years from a concert into one of Ghana’s most recognisable music event brands.
