International broadcaster, Voice of America (VOA) will on Sunday, April 3, air a special feature on Ghana's Hiplife music.
The feature which will air on the Music Time in Africa show, hosted by Dr Heather Maxwell on VOA Radio at 09:00 GMT, 15:00GMT and 20:00GMT is centered on how the Hiplife idea came about and its evolutionary stages over the years.
Speaking on the topic are seasoned Ghanaian music producer, Panji Anoff and Professor John Collins of the University of Ghana Music Department. They will narrate to the world the stories of this hybrid music genre.
The show will be interspersed with old tunes by some of the forerunners of Hiplife such as Nkasei, Akyeame, Obrafour among others.
Reggie Rockstone, regarded as the originator of Hiplife was not available for an interview at the time of the feature, which was carried out by Eugene Selorm Owusu, a student of the University of Ghana and stringer with the Voice Of America.
