Olivier ends marriage with Halle Berry

Oliver Martinez has filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Halle Berry, a public information officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court tells Us Weekly. Berry reportedly filed earlier on Tuesday, October 27, under the name Hal Maria, according to TMZ.

Martinez, 49, cited “irreconcilable differences” in the official documents. He also requested joint custody for their son, Maceo.

The Oscar winner, 49, and the French actor released a joint public statement about their decision to split earlier in the day.

"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce," they told us. "We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son.

“We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children's privacy, as we go through this difficult period."

The former spouses share son Maceo, 2, and Berry is also mom to daughter, Nahla, with her ex Gabriel Aubry. The Extant actress has been married three times — previously to baseball player David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and R&B singer Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005.

She wed the Revenge star in July 2013 after meeting on the set of Dark Tide in 2010.
