Not everyone will love me, and I’m okay with that — McBrown

Renowned actress and media personality, Nana Ama McBrown says she does not expect everyone to love or accept her, acknowledging that criticism is an inevitable part of life.

According to her, no one is perfect enough to escape criticism, and she has come to accept that people will always have different opinions about others.

“There is nobody who is so righteous that they will never face any issues or criticism. There is an old saying that if everybody loves you, then something is wrong, so I don’t expect everyone to love me,” she said.

In an interview with Kobby Kyei News, McBrown, who has remained one of Ghana’s most loved entertainment personalities, added that she did not expect to live a perfect or completely righteous life forever.

“I also don’t expect to live a perfect or completely righteous life forever. I believe that whatever happens is in God’s hands,” she added.

The actress said she understood that people would always hold different views about her and others, stressing that she had accepted the unpredictability of life.

Her comments come amid the intense scrutiny that often accompanies life in the public eye, where celebrities are frequently subjected to both praise and criticism over their personal and professional choices.

For McBrown, however, the expectation of being loved by everyone is unrealistic, and she appears content with accepting both admiration and criticism as part of her public life.
