Noble Nketsiah, Lord Kenya to raise funds in Italy for children

Gospel musician, Noble Nketsiah, is still committed to helping children through his ‘Kids-Off-the-Street’ project and he would have Evangelist Lord Kenya performing beside him to raise funds for the noble undertaking at a concert scheduled for Brescia in Italy next month.

The concert, which is fully endorsed and supported by the Ghana Embassy in Italy, Ghana National Associations in Italy, Italian Embassy in Ghana and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, will be launched on Saturday, September 23, at the Golden Eagles Global Ministries in Brescia.

Italy-based Ghanaian artistes: Maame Birago, Anne Marie and Francis J. Carson will also be in action at the October 14 show which marks the second phase of Noble’s social responsibility project. The programme will be held at the Maranatha Assemblies of God premises in Brescia.

“Apart from the fact that my partners on this project are based in Italy, the idea to roll out these fund-raising activities outside Ghana is to create awareness as well as gather resources from Ghanaian communities abroad as their way of supporting a worthy cause back home,” Noble said to explain why the concert was not being held in Ghana.

“Italy is just the starting point. We will visit a number of Ghanaian communities elsewhere in Europe before a grand show in Ghana in December”.

Noble has just returned to Accra from Italy where he met with Her Excellency Paulina Tangoba Abayage, Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy and other partners in preparation for the concert. It is being organised in partnership with Showbiz Africa, JabCrew and Assemblies of God, Ghana-Italy and under the patronage of Ambassador Abayage.

“We primarily want to support orphanages and homes committed to taking care of children removed from the streets. So far, the project has identified and would be working with about seven orphanages across Ghana,” Noble told Showbiz.

He recently released a worship song, Woye Owura and it will be performed for the first time in Italy. Noble says his vision is to remove at least 1000 under-privileged children off the streets by 2020 and give them decent places to live.
