EUROPE based Nigerian artiste, Arisco Lee has slammed Dancehall act, Shatta Wale for disparaging Nigerian music.

According to Arisco Lee, Nigerian music has no competition not only because of the size of the Nigerian market but also because Nigerian artistes use rhythms derived from their culture.

Speaking with Showbiz, he asked Shatta Wale to focus on promoting his music rather than trying to ride on Nigerian artistes for attention.

“Making noise on social media is not the way to generate hype for yourself. The world has noticed the positive message in our songs and that has paved the way for our industry and has given individuals and companies the confidence to invest in our music,” he said.

He added that Nigerian Juju music has made a huge impact in Africa and on the world stage which had given Nigerian acts prominence.

Ariscolee real name Jojo Prince Uyi was born in Benin State in Nigeria and got into music at the tender age of six when he started playing the bongo in church. Over the years he has cultivated his passion for music in all dimensions.

He relocated to Switzerland where he is pursuing his passion of being a singer and songwriter.

Arisco Lee told Showbiz he uses music to express himself and after the success of one of his singles, Forever, he is back with his first song of 2018 titled Slow Down featuring Harrysong.
