After working underground for 15 years as a gospel artiste and getting some attention when he featured on Nhyira Betty’s, Bɛɛma Nna in 2013, Oheneba Clement hopes to bless lovers of gospel music with his style of gospel music which he calls “Appellation Praise”.

And to prove how ready he is, the young man is out with his debut album, Morning Star (Anopa Nsroma). The 11- track album which will be launched on Sunday, November 29, at Alive Chapel International has songs such as Mmrane Sɛ Wo, Nea Wode Mabredu Nie, Calvary, Mmo Ntumi Nyɛ ne Hwee, Sumsum Nkrate and Adom Ara Kwa.

In an interview with  Showbiz, Oheneba Clement, real name, Clement Obeng Asiedu, said eventhough he appreciates the stiff competition in the gospel fraternity, his style of using appellations which is quite distinct, will work the magic for him.

“I may not be popular with the masses but I have worked with some of the popular artistes for long and know what my target audience wants.

“ I may not be the first to use this form but we can testify that the new crop of gospel artistes don’t use this style.

“I love it because I have the bigger chance of making known the wondrous nature of my Creator. It brings out the best in me. It shouldn’t all be about our problems, but sometimes, we need to make God feel big on His throne of grace,” the member of Hour of Glory Charismatic Church said.

It hasn’t been an easy journey for Oheneba Clement, one that he recounted so emotionally to Showbiz but now, he can heave a sigh of relief since his management company, M.T Productions, is ready to push his career to any height.

“It hurts to know that there are so many talents and gifts going waste because the industry lacks the shine to attract people to invest in it. This has been my major setback since I started singing about 15 years ago. Sometimes, it gets very frustrating,” he stated.

Currently, Oheneba Clement who takes his music inspiration from artistes such as  OJ, Elder Mireku, Francis Amoh and Okupa, a gospel group, is looking forward to the launch of his album which was produced by  Micheal Tenkorang of M.T Productions, David Divine, and Shadraq Yawson of Shaq Studios.
