MJ The Comedian ‘borla’ skit yields results
WHEN comedian MJ The Comedian recently ‘zoomed’ on La Wireless refuse dump in Accra as the subject of one of his many skits, little did he expect a favourable outcome.
The skit went viral and the gigantic heap of rubbish which had been left unattended to, perhaps, embarrassed those responsible for taking care of the place so much that it was cleared up within no time at all.

In the skit, Mj The Comedian born Timothy Musa Junior Abaadu joked about how the dump site which had become a tall mountain of rubbish because it had been neglected for months, was the preferred grounds to host social events such as weddings, parties and community gatherings.
He sarcastically joked about how its perceived usefulness in that condition had prevented relevant stakeholders to clear the place which was posing many health problems.
In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, MJ The Comedian who held his maiden standup comedy show last December said he was excited that his skit yielded positive results to save residents from a possible health outbreak.
“At the time that I shot the skit, truthfully, I didn’t think that authorities will take action since the residents had made every attempt to get them to clear the refuse.
“Later, my attention was drawn that the garbage had been cleared because the skit went viral and those in charge were questioned for not doing their job. I’m really excited about it”, he said.
According to MJ The Comedian, even though his primary aim is to split the ribs of viewers with his skits, the latest development will shape the direction of his skits going forward.
“This case has encouraged me to be doing skits that tackle the poor conditions in our society. At least, I know that the authorities who matter are paying attention”, he added.
After building a large following through his skits on social media, MJ who is also a content creator, comic actor and event host organised his maiden standup comedy event dubbed Cedi vs Dollar last year.
