Lydia Forson takes on tough role in Puzzled

After winning the Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) for her role in Isoken, it is a forward movement for actress Lydia Forson as she stars in a new television series titled Puzzled.

In a role which she describes as her toughest yet, The Scorned actress plays a human rights activist called Korkor Coffie, who fights for the rights of children,

women and especially, the less privileged who can’t afford legal services.

Korkor and her team at Kork and Co. are renowned for their work but it seems their perfect professional lives is a mirage as Korkor has her own internal battles she fights each day.

Produced by Seth Oteng, Puzzled, which will be premiered on Friday, October 26 on TV3, is another production set to bring out the best of Lydia Forson.

The production also features the likes of Imoh Eboh, Maame Serwaa, David Muchilee, Naa Koshie Lamptey, Louisa Ankrah, Philip Addoquaye, Gideon K. Appiah, Susan Musa A and Lord Mensah.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Lydia expressed her excitement about playing a role which reflects her life ambitions.

“I have always believed in a just cause for the less privileged and equal rights for all. Even though it was a tough role, I was very happy I played the character,” she stated.

Lydia Forson’s career started when she participated in the The Next Movie Star in 2007. Before that, she had some roles in the movies Hotel St. James (2005) and Run Baby Run (2006).

She got her big break with Sparrow Production’s Scorned and Perfect Picture which earned her the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2010.

Lydia has since featured in a number of movies including Phone Swap, A Sting in a Tale, Masquerades, Letter From Adam, Side Chic Gang among others.
