Laughter returns in August

For the past 10 years, August has meant more than just the eighth month for those who want to de-stress and laugh till their sides hurt.

For 10 years, the month has been one that brings us both laughter and music because the first part of the 1000 Laughs series happens in August.

And next month will be no different. After 19 editions, the laughter and music tradition still continues this year with the 20th edition of the 1000 laughs series at the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC) on Saturday, August 1.

According to a statement from the organisers of the event, Charterhouse, the night dubbed, A Night of 1020 Laughs and Music will give revellers an opportunity to  forget about their troubles, mistakes, let go and laugh till their jaws hurt.

The longest running comedy series in Ghana is expected to as usual feature some of the finest in comedy and music from the African continent again this time around.

“ Brace yourself, get an extra set of ribs, buy a stack of tissue or handkerchiefs, be prepared to be treated to undiluted doses of two of life’s essentials and get ready for a night of non-stop laughter and music” the statement added.
