Making the presentation, Kwabena Kwabena said the amount was the fulfilment of pledges made at his Save-A-Life concert which was held on Saturday, July 2, at the Banquet Hall, State House.

Dr Enstua Mensah who received the presentation on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Korle Bu, Dr Lawrence Agyemang Siriboe, said, “We want to encourage Kwabena Kwabena and his management to do more to help the centre since it is difficult for patients diagnosed with heart-related diseases to afford the cost of heart surgery.”

Kwabena Kwabena, therefore, appealed to corporate society, companies, churches and individuals to bring back hope to persons, especially children, with acute heart diseases.

The Kwabena Kwabena’s Save-A-Life Foundation was set up to raise funds for children who cannot afford the cost of undergoing heart surgeries.

Since its inception, the foundation has come a long way in bearing the cost of surgery of many patients on the waiting list of the National Cardiothoracic Centre.

Kwabena Kwabena expressed gratitude to the various individuals and corporate organisations who redeemed their pledges and urged those that were yet to do so to honour theirs.
