Kay Smooth dedicates Seaman Jorley to Kofi Kinaata
To show appreciation for coming through for him on his previous song Heavy Equipment, Afrobeats artiste Kay Smooth has dedicated his latest single, Seaman Jorley to Kofi Kinaata.
Seaman Jorley produced by 10 Minitz and mastered by Willisbeats, is a song which celebrates the beauty of love between partners.
Kay Smooth is heard on the song telling his partner his love for her will never change and intends to be with her for the rest of his life.
The beautiful video of Seaman Jorley shot at different locations in Ghana is out and it has scenes of Kofi Kinaata having a good time with Kay Smooth
Although Kofi Kinaata did not have any particular role to play in the video, Kay Smooth said he was featured since the song is an appreciation of his good deeds.
“Not many A- list musicians will be willing to jump on a song with an up and coming artiste but Kofi Kinaata did that on my song, Heavy Equipment and didn’t take a penny. I was touched and decided to do this song for him to use anytime he marries” he told Graphic Showbiz.
According to Kay Smooth, he holds Kofi Kinaata in high esteem and wished other renowned artistes would emulate his simple life and also support young acts without any expected rewards.
Kay Smooth who has songs such as Sweet Honey, Baby You Fine, I Need You, Thy Word, Low Battery, Christine has worked with other musicians such as Shatta Wale and D Cryme says he is against the use of nudity and profanity to gain attention.
“I don’t want to do anything that will dent my image as a musician and my mentor, Kofi Kinaata who I admire so much has been successful without going that way over the years”, he stated.
