Joe Fraizer announces his mother’s death
Ghanaian singer, Andrews Kwadwo Agyen popularly known by the stage name, Joe Fraizer has announced the death of his mother, Obaapayin Yaa Boamah.
In a statement signed by one Mr Jay, a PRO for Team Joe Fraizer and copied Graphic Showbiz on Saturday, it noted that the sad event occurred on Thursday, August 31. She was 74.

It further stated that the family will announce details of her funeral arrangements later.
“With humble acceptance of God’s will, I announce the passing of ObaaPayin Yaa Boamah. The family will soon come out with an appropriate date of the funeral service. Thank you,” the release noted.
Also, in a Facebook post on Sunday (September 3), Joe Fraizer called on his friends and sympathisers to come and mourn with him and his family at the one week celebration which will take place at Buokrom Estate, A-Line Abaase in Kumasi, on Friday, September 22.
Known for songs such as Shishii, Suban, Apuutoor, Atoo, Fati, Yese Me Hene among others, Joe Fraizer was one of the forerunners of Hiplife music from Kumasi.
He was particularly admired for his style of rap, which undoubtedly endeared him to many music enthusiasts at the time.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on a Cape Coast-based Kastle last year, Joe Fraizer said many young artistes aren’t “exceptional” because their songs are nothing to write home about.
