While some have revealed they chanced upon it, acting in movies however did not come on a silver platter for actor and comedian, Salinko who used to do ‘dawn broadcasting’ in Kumasi as well as preach in cars before the opportunity came his way.

Real name Abraham Kofi Essuman Davis, the 35-year-old actor told Showbiz last Tuesday that he had to struggle to make ends meet before he finally landed his first role in the movie Brenya in 2005 by Danfo BA and there has been no looking back since then.

“I used to work for Praise Media, an outfit which was owned by Mac Abraham, a gospel musician where I was learning how to use the camera and also video editing. One day, a client came to shoot a video and I got the chance to act in it and I guess that was when it dawned on me that I could do something in front of the camera,” he said.
